Win 2 Linux
Give Your Computer a Second Life After the end of Windows 10
On the 13th of October 2026, extended support for Windows 10 ends completely.
Beyond that, you face security risks using and a higher risk of virus, malware and hacks.
There is another way to prolong its life: Try Linux!
Across the EU-27, an estimated 35 to 50 million PCs cannot run Windows 11. Not because they are broken, but because they don't meet the hardware requirements Microsoft's newer operating system demands, including a security chip (TPM 2.0) and a minimum processor generation. In Belgium alone, we're probably talking about 500,000 to 700,000 machines.
Many are perfectly functional computers. They belong to elderly people, students, small businesses, community organisations. Once Windows 10 support ends in October 2026, they'll be exposed to security issues and potential compatibility issues with software updates. Any Windows 10 machine connected to the internet will be a real security risk. Many of these computers could have an extended life.
The solution exists and it's free. Linux runs very smoothly on older hardware, is actively maintained, and costs nothing. This site is designed to assist you with installing Linux on computers that cannot be upgraded.
